CMAS Testing Schedule

CMAS testing

We continue to plan for our current schedule for the state CMAS exams. See dates, below now with approximate times!

CMAS dates and grades and subjects

For in-person students taking the exam: please follow your arrival procedures as usual
For remote students taking the exam:

  • Please arrive at school between 7:45-8:00 am (**6th grade by 7:45)
  • Complete the health screener for your student (we can help complete at school if needed)
  • Wait at your assigned door, 6 feet apart from other students (see slides #40-43 in BW’s safety slide deck)
    • 3rd and 4th: playground on the 4-square area
    • 5th grade: playground by auditorium
    • 6th grade: teachers enter at 7:45, please arrive by then, playground by mini-pitch
    • 7th/8th grade: front doors, on the stairs and along the half wall
  • Parents may wait with students outside, but visitors are still restricted from entering the building. Please wear a mask and stay 6’ away from others while on campus

For in-person students NOT taking the exam: please follow your arrival procedures as usual, you will be working on classwork separate from those taking the exam
For remote students NOT taking the exam: your teachers will communicate any changes in your schedule; you will be doing a combination of asynchronous work and class time with teachers who are not proctoring the exam

****** ALL testing days (MINUS 4/16 for 8th grade Science; see below*)**********: 
8:15 am  — First session starts by 8:15 AM – Breakfast and lunch still will be served at school
2:00 pm  — Dismissal at 2:00 PM, please pick up at the same location of drop off (**parents with siblings arriving/picked up at different locations, please communicate with classroom teacher).

Wednesday 4/7 

  • 7th grade – English Language Arts and Math unit 1

Thursday 4/8

  • 8th grade – English Language Arts and Math unit 1

Friday 4/9

  • 8th grade – English Language Arts Unit 2, 7th grade Math unit 2

Tuesday 4/13

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade – English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Math, Unit 1
  • 7th grade – English Language Arts and Math, Unit 2

Wednesday 4/14

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade – English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Math, Unit 2
  • 7th grade – English Language Arts and Math, Unit 3

Thursday 4/15

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade – English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Math, Unit 3
  • 8th grade – English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, and Math, Unit 3

*Friday 4/16

  • 8th grade – Science ***Units 1, 2, and 3**
    ***1st session by 8:15AM and lunch estimated at 1:00. Please consider bringing a snack, we will also provide snacks, bathroom and stretch breaks between sessions ******

Monday 4/19

  • 6th grade – English Language Arts unit 1

Tuesday 4/20

  • 5th grade – Science unit 1
  • 6th grade – English Language Arts unit 2

Wednesday 4/21

  • 5th grade – Science unit 2
  • 6th grade – English Language Arts unit 3

Thursday 4/22

  • 5th grade – Science unit 3
  • 6th grade – Math units 1 and 2

Friday 4/23

  • 6th grade – Math unit 3

**** Week of 4/19: 6th grade students will take 1 session of English language arts Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. They will take two sessions of math on Thursday, and one session of math on Friday. On days with one session, remote students have the option to be picked up early. 6th grade families, if you prefer your student does NOT stay all day during testing week, please advise your classroom teacher.
