Cada año, estudiantes, personal, familias y miembros de la comunidad de DPS se reúnen para apoyar el Fondo Second Wind y celebrar su misión de reducir la incidencia del suicidio en niños y jóvenes eliminando las barreras económicas y sociales para el tratamiento en la Caminata/Carrera.

Bryant Webster necesita su ayuda para conocer mejor las fortalezas y las necesidades socioemocionales de nuestros estudiantes. Este año les pedimos a las familias que completen el cuestionario BESS (Sistema de Evaluación del Comportamiento y lo Emocional) para cada uno de sus hijos. Los resultados ayudan a nuestro equipo de salud mental a ofrecer intervenciones a todos los estudiantes que las necesiten. El cuestionario toma hasta 5 minutos por estudiante y se puede completar desde cualquier teléfono, tableta o computadora con acceso a internet.

Hay cambios importantes del Departamento de Dotados y Talentosos respecto al proceso de Evaluación Universal de DPS. En lugar de evaluar a todos los estudiantes de Kindergarten, 2º grado y 6º grado, ahora se evaluará a todos los estudiantes de 1º y 5º grado. ¿Sabías que Bryant Webster ofrecerá una clínica de vacunación para estudiantes en la escuela el 1 y el 2 de octubre? Seguimos las recomendaciones de vacunas para niños en la escuela del Departamento de Salud y Medio Ambiente de Colorado y la Academia Americana de Pediatría. Recursos sobre inmigración para las familias
Las clases de inglés como segundo idioma (ESL) para adultos comienzan el 25 de agosto de 2025. Es necesario que los estudiantes asistan a escuelas de DPS o residan en el condado de Denver para asistir. Every year, DPS students, staff, families and community members gather and support the Second Wind Fund to celebrate and support their mission to: decrease the incidence of suicide in children and youth by removing the financial and social barriers to treatment at the Walk/Run.
Bryant Webster needs your help to learn more about our students’ social-emotional strengths and needs. This year we’re asking parents to complete the BESS (Behavioral and Emotional Screening System) questionnaire for each of their children. The results help our mental health team provide interventions to all students in need. The questionnaire takes up to 5 minutes per child and can be completed on any phone, tablet, or computer with internet access. There are important updates from the Gifted and Talented Department regarding the DPS Universal Screening process. Instead of screening all students in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 6th grade, we will now test all students in 1st grade and 5th grade. The NW Community Hub at Trevista is excited to announce that we are partnering with the Denver Library to offer FREE workshops for parents of children ages 0-3!
Did you know that Bryant Webster is hosting an In-School vaccine clinic for students on October 1st and Oct 2nd? Please see attached flyer to sign up or stop by the health office to discuss your options. We follow the guidance of the Colorado Department of Health and Environment and the American Academy of Pediatrics for vaccine recommendations for kids in school. Our goal is 100% compliance this school year which is possible since we hit 98% after our second clinic last school year! medical care such as Tylenol, Ibuprofen or Allergy medicine. They can also fill out Asthma and Allergy Action plans and send those inhalers and Epinephrine pens to the school or your pharmacy.
