Hi, I am Jessica Gillesby (Ms. G) and I’m very excited for another year at BW! I am a 3rd-grade math and science teacher. I started my teaching career 25 years ago and I have taught all the grades from 3rd through 8th. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Bilingual Education. In college, I spent time working for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama (where my mother is from and I have lots of families) and for an environmental agricultural research organization in Costa Rica. I am a Colorado native and I love swimming, reading, dancing, music, space, travel, and art. I live with my husband, daughter (17), son (11), and two cats. I love our BW families and I can’t wait for our great adventure in third grade!
Hola, soy Jessica Gillesby (Sra. G) y estoy muy emocionada por otro año en BW. Soy profesora de matemáticas y ciencias de tercer grado. Empecé mi carrera docente hace 25 años y he enseñado todos los grados desde 3ro hasta 8vo. Tengo una licenciatura en biología y una maestría en Currículo e Instrucción con énfasis en Educación Bilingüe. En la universidad, pasé un tiempo trabajando para el Instituto Smithsonian de Investigaciones Tropicales en Panamá (de donde es mi madre y tengo mucha familia) y para una organización de investigación agrícola ambiental en Costa Rica. Soy nativa de Colorado y me encanta nadar , leer, bailar, la música, el espacio, viajar y el arte. Vivo con mi esposo, hija (17), hijo (11) y dos gatos . ¡Amo nuestras familias de BW y no puedo esperar para nuestra gran aventura en tercer grado!
