Kendra Layton

Math Teacher

7th/8th Grade

My name is Kendra Layton or Ms. Layton. I teach 7th and 8th grade math, as well as ELD. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I speak Spanish and English.

This is my third year at Bryant Webster and my sixth year in the classroom. I am so excited to teach in a position where Spanish and math collide! I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and attended Georgetown University in Washington DC, where I majored in Spanish and minored in Education and Math. I loved studying abroad in Chile, and Argentina, where I focused on bilingual and intercultural education. I came to Denver to get my Master’s Degree at the University of Denver, as well as participate in the Denver Teacher Residency Program. Apart from teaching, I love gardening, cooking, and hiking with my partner Lenny and our dogs Cooper and Page.
